    NY Trip Photos

As much as I want to write every minute detail of our trip to NY, I can't seem to muster up the right words. We saw the usual sights, which I thought was VERY necessary. Catching up with my sister was great. It has been 7 years since we last saw each other. How long is that? She actually looks like Mom now. Hmmm I don't know if she'll like that. She kept on saying "shopping again!" when we passed a shop. Hahahaha me being the tourist that I am, had to go to one shop after the other.
I was keen on going outlet shopping, but it never happened. I tried to organise it with a fella that a friend of mine used when he went to NY, but unfortunately he wanted heaps. So my travel companion arranged for something else, it's one of those shopping tour. We bought the tickets got in a cab in a hurry, hoping we'll get there in time. But we were 5 mins late. So we thought it was not meant to be. We headed to Century 21 instead. Even then I didn't get  anything for myself, and the time that we alloted to shop was not ENOUGH. I tried not to buy anything hoping that the outlet mall would suffice. How disappointing when we could not go to one.. sniff sniff.
After the LegalTech convention. H was able to go around town with us. NY is a great place. Wouldn't mind living there for a while. Not too long otherwise we'll miss Ozzy too much.

    N & M Dinner Invite

We've been invited by N & M to their home for dinner last friday. I met M a month or two prior to us going to NY last january. His wife N, I met her over at christmas (our client threw a christmas party). We all went to NY, us the wives were left to do as we please. Which is equivalent to shopping till you can not walk and carry bags. H thinks I'm a shopaholic. But compared to N, I am but a novice. We went into Sephora, we both went crazy. It was like kids getting high in a lolly shop. I ended up getting a new eyebrow kit and lip gloss. Not a bad purchase. Anyway, half way to browsing I eventually gave up. My legs could not hack it, plus P was getting antsy. So I said to N when she's done to come and see us, we'll be sitting in a corner, waiting.

We had roast pork, tossed green salad, and baked potatoes. I especially liked the taters, butter and shallotts! Yummy. I brought something sweet for our host. It was M's birthday on thursday. I made these lovely babies, Choc Almond Cupcake. I've been using the same recipe with the cupcakes, just augmenting it to what I have in the pantry. And from what our host told me, it tasted a little naughty  That's what I aimed for.
