    J's Baptism

A day after N's baby shower we had J's Baptism at St. James Parish, Coorparoo. The same church where H and I were married nearly 7 yrs ago and where P was Baptised. I had to make sure it would be round about the time were my in-laws are here on holidays, I didn't want them to miss it.

The lead up to the event was a bit stressful, but I have been lucky to have help around when needed. In Filipino tradition, when one has a baptism it becomes a "HUGE" affair. From the picking of godparents, which comprises of at least 3 couples. The reception that follows is another ball game. You could say that the whole town is invited, apart from a truck load of relatives. Smile
It's sorta like getting married all over again! I mean, it's a well known fact that Filipino's love to have parties, and they go "all out". From the different viands on serve (roughly at least 3), multitude of sweets and the all too familiar lechon (roast pig). I love lechon, but they do cost an arm and a leg. Lol

So what did we do? Kept it very simple, polar opposite to what I grew up from. Regardless it came out perfect! The presentation was awsome, company was great, the spread was filling. We were pretty happy with it.

    Last but not the east...
